  1. increase length of Entity Value Translations

    Currently, the Entity Value Translations are limited to 200 characters. This should be increased (400 at least)

  2. Order template sortable

    Allow customers to sort the items in the ordertemplate.
    Once created, you cannot change the order of items in the ordertemplate anymore at the moment.

    Some customers structure this list according to the layout of their warehouse. So if the order can made the same as the warehouse, the ordering can be done faster.

    Now the sorting is as items are added in shopping basket and the saved as order template. But if the sorting order changes, you have to do everything again from the beginning.

  3. Recurring Payments for Subscriptions purchased thru the web shop

    Add functionality so that when a customer purchases a subscription through our web shop, they can “opt-in” to have us automatically charge their credit card for all renewals. Sana (or an add-on) would manage the credit card info and allow the user to choose card, update card, etc. Sana would pass a token to the ERP to maintain PCI.

  4. Content search functioanlity

    Sana already have a search product functionality, but miss another part which dramatically will improve user experience - this is the content search.

    So, Sana should have a content search functionality that customers may search over product pages, flexi pages, news and faq content.

    [SANA PRODUCT] This is a very good idea. We are investigating how we can improve our search engine. Expanding the search functionality with covering content (flexi-pages and potentially also documents), but also a smarter engine are definitely part of this search engine 2.0. This investigation is currently ongoing.

  5. Turn the shop in Maintenance mode

    It would be nice if you can make a setting to turn the shop in maintaince mode, so at the shop site you only see one page that the shop is underconstuction.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We are in the last stage of our investigation a new toggle in Sana Admin so that the shop owner itself can put the shop in maintenance mode. This feature could also be used during the pre-live time. A specific message will appear on the front-end to inform the web store visitors (Sana text). If we have a final release date, we will update you.

  6. Expand capabilities of Customer Assortment List

    Add support for creating expressions similar to the Data Validation rules for setting up the Customer Assortment list, or add Customer Segments to the Sales Type filter list. We have item restrictions that are not always able to be captured by the current capabilities but which are not possible to manage manually.

    [SANA PRODUCT] Thank you for the suggestion. We have recently added functionality (in Microsoft ERPs) to increase the possibilities of the item configuration, to include item fields and attributes as well as individual items and groups.

    We will look into the expression and customer field suggestions. Thanks for the feedback!

  7. Import/Export functionality in Sana admin

    Required import/export functionality in Sana admin for entire content (product pages, flexi pages, etc.) or parts of content (with option to select items to import and export).

    This will help to move content between different environments or efficiently work with 3rd parties (for example with content translation agencies).

  8. Different default unit for B2B/B2C (Pcs. vs. Box)

    As of right now, there's only one default unit of measure when buying through Sana.

    For B2C customers it only makes sense that they buy individual pieces. But for B2B costumers I would love to see them presented with the option of buying a full box as default, without having to change the settings for end consumer as well.

    This would make the platform more friendly towards being able to handle both B2B and B2C well.

  9. B2B VAT Check services fallback

    If VAT validation check is mandatory for B2B customer registration you only have the possibility to check EU VIES database. Due to regular maintenance of each member state, vat service if often not available for a short or longer period of time (france 3 weeks!). I propose for a fall-back logic in Sana that queries a secondary cached database of vat numbers from selected member states such as benelux/dach/france. I checked vatlayer, vatsense and vatapi but none of them offer this services.

  10. End of out of stock message

    If a product is temporarly out of stock, it would nice for the user to have an option to be alerted when the item is available again.
    From the given product page, he would just have to click on a button "alert me when available" and to give his email address (or to sign in if he already has an account).
    When the product is back for sale, an email would be automagically sent to him.

  11. Button Empty basket

    When customers order on a tablet and are in the basket they will click by accident on the empty basket. And then the basket is cleared without a question. It would be better if the empty basket button is in another place (not above the next step button) and if there is a question “are you sure you want to delete all items?”

    [SANA PRODUCT] We have heard this feedback more often. That’s why we have hired a Product Owner UX recently, who will work on the entire redesign of our front-end and Sana Admin. This specific idea is indeed on his list. We will first continue with renewing our Front-end Framework (ReactJS). We expect to provide a much smoother user experience in the future and we will definitely tackle this topic.

  12. Update/Improve Text Editor

    Update the CK Editor to include more formatting options--in particular support for text color and highlighting, and table creation.

  13. Improve Text Editor or new Addon

    It would be nice when the user has the possibility to create a tab view inside a flexipage.
    So the user can create easily for example subpages on a single page, like https://www.w3schools.com/howto/howtojstabs.asp

  14. Shipping cost (negative amount due to cheaper than what is included in price)

    As a shop owner i would like to offer our customers the option to choose a cheaper shipping type than our prefered shipping method.

    But the challenge is that our product price has base shipping included in the price so the customer do not leave the shop without ordering when he see the shipping costs under checkout.

    So by offering a cheaper shipping method than what is included in the price we need to be able to put in a negative amount on shipping methods in Sana, so that the customer would actually get a discount by choosing that shipping…

  16. Improve Mailchimp add-on

    Currently the way the Mailchimp add-on is made doesn't enable a proper use of automation capabilities in Mailchimp.
    In order to use Mailchimp ecommerce automation, SANA should use the ecommerce API provided.
    That would enable any SANA website to automatically :
    - Notify best customers with rewards
    - Thank 1st time customers
    - Win back customers that are not coming back
    - Easily retarget abandoned carts
    Additionally, it should be able to handle several customer segments when syncing, so you have the same customer segments in SANA and in MailChimp.

  17. Display Shipping Options in Drop-Down Menu or Matrix format

    Allow us to choose to display shipping options in a different format that will be more compact for customers when a shop has many shipping options. Either a drop-down menu, or an accordion-style display where the customer selects which carrier they want to use and then the service levels (standard, expedited, overnight) are displayed. Would make it much easier to show many options without making the checkout page overwhelming.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We have this feature on our radar, but it’s still a difficult topic to tackle. The reason for that is that pricing is in most cases customer specific (the way how we get them from the ERP at least). Those prices are in Sana always loaded real-time. If you want to use them for a slider, they have to be indexed for performance reasons (which means that they cannot be real-time). We have implemented this approach a few times as a customization with some limitations, but it’s a tough cookie to crack if we want to build this into the standard product. We will continue our investigation on this topic.

  19. Set default country in Customer Registration

    On customer registration pages, the country list is in alphabetical order. Most customers are from our home country but this is near the bottom of a long list. It would be great to be able to set a default country and have that appear at the top of the list (or selected and the dropdown be at that point)

  20. Managing several contact forms

    Currently SANA does provide only one contact form and its URL is preset. It would be nice to be able to manage several contact forms whereas people want to contact your customer service or a given service within the company. You could also add/remove fields to get more information about the sender before contacting him back and route the message to a different recipient.
    You don't have either an history of the message transmitted, in order to check the relevance of your contact form.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We are currently working on re-building our front-end based on the newest technology (React). You can find more information on this on our Roadmap Portal (https://roadmap.sana-commerce.com). We might introduce a new feature like this in our new front-end, but this is still uncertain.

    For the time being, you could consider using the Code Content Element and embed a form from Google Forms / TypeForm. This will already provide a good solution for most cases.
