  1. Item short and long descriptions

Showing same info in two different places is not visually or technically useful, it is rather confusing.

It should be quick fix to either use ERP description only for "short description" and add "long description" in Sana or take use of Business Central "Description2" field for longer description.

Issue is that in current situation its not possible to add bullet list, tables or other formats to display or format description section as it will be shown also as "short" description.

Simple fix but big impact for e-commerce customer.

  2. Increase visibility of content area on product pages

It would be great with an update of the visibility of the content area on product pages. In the current situation it's not possible to scroll up/down to get an overview of the content elements, but you need to grab an element and drag it to navigate up and down.

  3. Guest customers under one ERP account!

Today every guest customer is saved as separate account in ERP and this generates thousands of accounts never being used again - pretty busy.

Instead i propose that for guest customers one account e.g. "Guest Customer" is used and every customer is saved as new contact under this account.

This avoids creating unnecessary accounts in ERP which is pretty critical issue.

If only obstacle is returning guest customer with same e-mail then rules are simple - it creates new contact every time or option is to push order to already existing contact if all fields are filled identically. In any…

  4. Ability to sort Outst. Total by ascending/decending in customers invoice history.

Sometimes a customer does not know their order/document no and wants to find out what invoices still have an oust. total. The only way to do this currently is to click through pages of orders.

If a customer could sort the oust. total by ascending/descending, it would populate all invoices with an outstanding total to the top and the customer could easily find the outstanding total invoices.

  5. "Shopping cart suggestions" element

The "Shopping cart suggestions" element could be a great re-marketing tool as long as it:

    1) Suggested products relevant to the ones that the customer had purchased previously.

    2) Suggested accessories for products that the customer had purchased previously.

No one wants to be suggested a product they have already bought. They need products which can be used with this product; accessories, spare parts or maybe other products of the same category. This information can be easily derived from a database like Microsoft Dynamics.

Right now, according to Sana support, it shows "exactly the same ItemNo which the customer had…

  6. List all items without images

It would be very helpful to have a simple query function that lists all web-visible items without any images associated with them. As new products are created in the ERP, users may forget to add the associated images. Sifting through the site's products and categories time consuming, and depending on the category structure, may not be realistic. This information is already accessible by the dev teams, might as well make it available to the users.

  7. Export from Sana Admin

There is currently no functinality in Sana Admin to export any customer data. If you can import data/content you should also be able to export it.

This should be a standard function of Sana Admin.
Exporting data is a key tool to provide actionable data to sales teams to provide an enhanced service to the customer and also help us identify those who have not logged in and need to be contacted via sales team or an email campaign. This is impossible without the option to export.
Please consider this Sana, you will make your customers lives so much easier…

  8. PreOrder in addition to InStock and OutOfStock

If Items are OutOfStock but orderable, they should be considered as PreOrder and not as OutOfStock, since Google removes ads in Google Shopping if the Item is marked as OutOfStock.

  9. Show Stock From Multiple Warehouses and also allow ordering from different warehouses

In standard Sana, there are only two configurations possible for how stock can be retrieved.
    1. One single warehouse for the whole shop
    2. Stock retrieved from the default location recorded against the customer record in ERP

However, it would be nicer if we had the below features.

    1. Allow the web shop owner to choose whether he wants to display stocks for the same product in different warehouses.
    2. Allow the ERP admin to choose which warehouses he wants to use for the web shop (visible in web shop type of functionality).
    3. Allow a configuration whether to show a consolidated total…

  10. Customer segment dependent html injection

Create the ability to do html injection for specified customer segments.
Some injections we want to do for customers and these need to be implemented on all pages.

[SANA PRODUCT] Hi! This is already possible with the Code Content element since Sana 9.3.0. You can add the Code Content Element in Sana Admin, and also make it dependant on a Customer Segment.

  11. Delivery time per item (on stock/not on stock)

If an item is not on stock, it is important for us to tell the customer until when it can be delivered near the "not on stock"/"on stock" message.
In Business Central for example, each item has a 'Lead Time Calculation' and a 'Safety Lead Time'. Both values together plus the standard delivery time will represent the possible delivery time for items not on stock.

  12. Show prices

If a (b2b) customer is logged in to the shop, he/she should be able to choose, which prices are shown.

Dealers often have their customers standing beside the desk with the eyes right on the computer. The dealers do not want the customer to see the net prices or discount on the gross prices.

There could be the following options:
    - Show gross price with discount
    - Show net price
    - Show gross price

[SANA PRODUCT] As we discussed on the phone, Sana automatically already creates the right hreflang tags in the HTML code. You could easily find it in the source code of your web store pages. We continuously implement these new SEO trends.

  14. Recipient e-mail addresses in order confirmation e-mail

When a B2B customer (person with shop account) makes an online order they receive a confirmation e-mail.

Unfortunately, the same confirmation e-mail goes to their general company's e-mail address, as well, because in the DynamicsNAV the person (contact) is connected to a company (customer). So, sometimes, we receive e-mails from the company wondering about the purchase; this is true especially for companies with many departments and employees.

We have tried to create a new shop account using, in the field "Account ID", the "Contact number" (person's number within the company) instead of the "Customer number" (company's number). But still the…

[SANA PRODUCT] The order confirmation email will no longer be sent to the company’s general email address.

  15. Add your refrence no. as a search option in order history

I would be nice if the field "your refrence no." is an extra search option in order history. The refrence no. can be filled making an order in the shop.

  16. Scan Barcode to Basket

many customers whishes a functionality where they can order items in a fast way by scanning the barcodes from the items in their warehouse or stores.

a great feature would be a scanning addon for the webshop.

  17. Add possibility to add a comment to each shopping basket item

  18. Extend Sana Admin search functionality to include Sana Help (and Sana University) articles

Extend Sana Admin search functionality to include articles from Sana Help and Sana University in search suggestions regarding current Sana setup.

For example when customer search for "Discount" top suggestions should be link(s) for "Discount" in Sana Admin and at the bottom should be suggestions with link(s) to Sana Help or Sana University with respect of current Sana setup.
So, if customer has configured NAV ERP connection, customer do not need link(s) to Help Sana with AX, GP, SAP articles, but only NAV.

This will dramatically improve Sana Admin user experience.

  19. Draft page content when session expires

In Sana 9.3 you introduced login session expiration, so if a Sana Admin is inactive for 20 minutes or more the session will be signed out. One big issue with this is that if you spend 20 minutes or more editing a web page and then save your content you are automatically signed out and the content is lost. This can not be intended and I will category it as a bug, so that you will not be signed out in this scenario.

Also, sometimes you are editing pages, then for some reason you will be inactive for 20 minutes…

In SCC the login session expiration is now 6 hours. We hope that no user would leave their work unattended and unsaved for 6 hours.

  20. Force password change

When we create new shop accounts we create them manually with a random and then send sign in information to customer by email. Having passwords in emails is bad security wise, and we always encourage our customers to change password after their first sign in. But we have no control about who is actually doing it.

It would be great if we on the Shop Account page could have some "Force to change password at next sign in" field, forcing the customer to actually change their password.

This would make eCommerce so much safer for Sana users.

[SANA PRODUCT] We have a new feature in Sana 9.3.2 where the Sana Admin user can easily send an email to the newly created Sana shop account. This email will not contain the password, but will contain a link to the reset password page. In this way, the shop account is forced to reset his password en choose his own password. That should solve your problem.
