  1. Show prices

    If a (b2b) customer is logged in to the shop, he/she should be able to choose, which prices are shown.

    Dealers often have their customers standing beside the desk with the eyes right on the computer. The dealers do not want the customer to see the net prices or discount on the gross prices.

    There could be the following options:
    - Show gross price with discount
    - Show net price
    - Show gross price

    [SANA PRODUCT] Thanks for these comments! In Sana 9.3.0, it’s possible to configure how prices are shown. This applies to the entire web store, and not on customer level. If we understand you correctly, you are looking for a configuration so that the shop account owner itself can change this setting as well, right?

  2. Validate ZIP code and country

    The ZIP codes from a city should be validated by the ERP. The transport cost often depends on country but currently, SANA allows any ZIP code and country combination. So I have had B2C scenario's where customers selected the wrong country and payed less transport costs due to this.

    1) Option to set the field zip code in SANA admin as drop down instead of text for customer registration & profile fields.

    2) If this set like this in SANA, customers can only select ZIP codes based on the ZIP code table of the ERP. In this case the list…

    [SANA PRODUCT] We have this feedback on our radar. The challenge here is that we sell Sana globally, and each country has it’s own taxonomy / rules for zip codes and cities. There are multiple third-party companies that are specialized in validating this information. Some of our customers customize Sana and implement this validation there. To what extent can ZIP code validation be done on the ERP side in your experience?

  3. Language support for attachments

    Currently the inRiver connector does not support languages for product attachments (mapped to the SANA_PRODUCTATTACHMENTS_RELATIONS setting in inRiver).

    It should work in the same way as with the standard ERP integration or Perfion add-on, that only the attachments are presented in the language the customer has chosen in the webstore.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We looked into this issue, and it seems that we don’t support language specific attachments for our ERPs for product attachments (only for sales document attachments). We indeed support language specific attachments in our PIM systems. The development team will look into this scenario.

  4. Metatags are not auto populated through a field in SAP as manually filling metatags for every product is very time consuming

    Metatags are not auto populated through a field in SAP B1, as manually filling metatags for every product is very time consuming. There should be an option to upload metatags through CSV based on product code. We have also talked to few of other SANA users and they also have same issues.

    [SANA PRODUCT] The meta description fields are auto populated based on the Product Description. It’s also possible to override this auto populating when manually adding a Meta Description under the Advanced Tab while editing a product in Sana Admin. If that’s not working for you properly, please contact your Service Consultant.

    Which fields from SAP B1 would you like to populate as the Meta Description?

  5. Extend Sana Admin search functionality to include Sana Help (and Sana University) articles

    Extend Sana Admin search functionality to include articles from Sana Help and Sana University in search suggestions regarding current Sana setup.

    For example when customer search for "Discount" top suggestions should be link(s) for "Discount" in Sana Admin and at the bottom should be suggestions with link(s) to Sana Help or Sana University with respect of current Sana setup.
    So, if customer has configured NAV ERP connection, customer do not need link(s) to Help Sana with AX, GP, SAP articles, but only NAV.

    This will dramatically improve Sana Admin user experience.

    [SANA PRODUCT] This is a very good idea. We are currently investigating an improved version of our Sana Help (we call this project Community 2.0). As part of this project, the entire Sana Help functionality will be improved. Step 2 will be a smart integration with our Sana Admin panel to improve our customer experience for daily operations.     [SANA PRODUCT] We are currently rebuilding our front-end and Sana Admin based on ReactJS. This will bring huge performance improvements. Simultaneously, we also have our UX experts reviewing all pages in Sana (both front-end as Sana Admin). The My Account area also deserves improvement, especially the search functionality. We will definitely take this feedback into account when we will redesign this part of Sana. Please stay tuned with our Roadmap Portal (https://roadmap.sana-commerce.com/).

    For the maintenance of the customer assortment in NAV, it would be great if you can add an item mark in the assortment. Because the item category and product group are not specific enough and the item no. is to specific, it cost al lot of time if you maintain this on the item no. level. If you use an item mark the maintenance is more flexible.
    It would also be better if the assortment at the customer level can be setup based on the countries/ regions code.

  8. Draft page content when session expires

    In Sana 9.3 you introduced login session expiration, so if a Sana Admin is inactive for 20 minutes or more the session will be signed out. One big issue with this is that if you spend 20 minutes or more editing a web page and then save your content you are automatically signed out and the content is lost. This can not be intended and I will category it as a bug, so that you will not be signed out in this scenario.

    Also, sometimes you are editing pages, then for some reason you will be inactive for 20 minutes…

    [SANA PRODUCT] Thank you for the feedback! We are now working on an improved Sana CMS / text editor which we call the “Visual Designer”. We will take this feedback into account when developing it. We expect to release a first (beta) version of this fancy editor by the end of ’19. Stay tuned!

  9. Scan Barcode to Basket

    many customers whishes a functionality where they can order items in a fast way by scanning the barcodes from the items in their warehouse or stores.

    a great feature would be a scanning addon for the webshop.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We are currently working on building a so-called “Front-end API”. For the technical people: we are implementing ReactJS as our new frontend framework. We expect to release this by the end of 2019. Having a frontend API is crucial for our first steps towards a Progressive Web App (PWA). With this PWA, we might also include a barcode scanner.

  10. Add product video to product display page

    As a shop owner, I would like to add product videos to my product display pages to get my point across a lot better than uploading a set of images. I believe this will help rev up engagement and subtly nudge prospects towards the next stage of the buying cycle.

    Also, studies have shown product videos will increase Conversion rate, Conversion rate for people that have watched videos etc., Time on page, Events (clicks on extra images, plays of videos etc), Goals (based on events that track usage) and Revenue per visit.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We are now working on a big project called Design 2.0. In the scope of this project, we are also working on redesigning all pages and the design flexibility. This project will be released in portions. It might very well that we will improve the Product Detail Page with the functionality to use product videos in the display carousel.

  11. Expand capabilities of Customer Assortment List

    Add support for creating expressions similar to the Data Validation rules for setting up the Customer Assortment list, or add Customer Segments to the Sales Type filter list. We have item restrictions that are not always able to be captured by the current capabilities but which are not possible to manage manually.

    [SANA PRODUCT] Thank you for the suggestion. We have recently added functionality (in Microsoft ERPs) to increase the possibilities of the item configuration, to include item fields and attributes as well as individual items and groups.

    We will look into the expression and customer field suggestions. Thanks for the feedback!

  12. Import/Export functionality in Sana admin

    Required import/export functionality in Sana admin for entire content (product pages, flexi pages, etc.) or parts of content (with option to select items to import and export).

    This will help to move content between different environments or efficiently work with 3rd parties (for example with content translation agencies).

  13. Turn the shop in Maintenance mode

    It would be nice if you can make a setting to turn the shop in maintaince mode, so at the shop site you only see one page that the shop is underconstuction.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We are in the last stage of our investigation a new toggle in Sana Admin so that the shop owner itself can put the shop in maintenance mode. This feature could also be used during the pre-live time. A specific message will appear on the front-end to inform the web store visitors (Sana text). If we have a final release date, we will update you.

  14. Content search functioanlity

    Sana already have a search product functionality, but miss another part which dramatically will improve user experience - this is the content search.

    So, Sana should have a content search functionality that customers may search over product pages, flexi pages, news and faq content.

    [SANA PRODUCT] This is a very good idea. We are investigating how we can improve our search engine. Expanding the search functionality with covering content (flexi-pages and potentially also documents), but also a smarter engine are definitely part of this search engine 2.0. This investigation is currently ongoing.

  15. Content Element Library

    Allow content blocks to be saved to a library for future use, or for easy insertion into another page. For example, a holiday sale graphic or a promotional video that applies to many items could be quickly reused or inserted into a new page.

    [SANA PRODUCT] Great idea! The focus for Sana Product for 2019 will be design. Under this “theme” we are going to improve Sana in various ways. One of the ideas that we are now implementing is a Visual Composer. Re-usable content, such as a holiday banner that a shop owner wants to re-use in various places, is definitely one of the things that will be part of this big journey.

  16. GLS integration

    GLS is a very popular shipping provider in the Nordic contries and they offer very affordable delivery in all of Europe.

    GLS is espeacially popular for B2C costumers as they are cheap and can deliver to parcelshops.

    An integration with GLS and their parcelshop system would be a big step towards a more B2C friendly platform.

    [SANA PRODUCT] Thanks for this feedback. At this moment, we are developing standard integrations with both Consignor and Transsmart. These shipping providers supports both standard delivery and pick-up locations – also GLS. This gives our customers the flexibility in changing and adding shipping providers in Sana, without touching any APIs. And with offering more delivery options, shop visitors will have the freedom to select the fastest, cheapest or their preferred carrier.

  17. Managing several contact forms

    Currently SANA does provide only one contact form and its URL is preset. It would be nice to be able to manage several contact forms whereas people want to contact your customer service or a given service within the company. You could also add/remove fields to get more information about the sender before contacting him back and route the message to a different recipient.
    You don't have either an history of the message transmitted, in order to check the relevance of your contact form.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We are currently working on re-building our front-end based on the newest technology (React). You can find more information on this on our Roadmap Portal (https://roadmap.sana-commerce.com). We might introduce a new feature like this in our new front-end, but this is still uncertain.

    For the time being, you could consider using the Code Content Element and embed a form from Google Forms / TypeForm. This will already provide a good solution for most cases.

  18. Filter (with facets) products based upon price ranges

    As a customer i would like to filter (with facets) products based upon price ranges, from price X till price Y.

    [SANA PRODUCT] We have this feature on our radar, but it’s still a difficult topic to tackle. The reason for that is that pricing is in most cases customer specific (the way how we get them from the ERP at least). Those prices are in Sana always loaded real-time. If you want to use them for a slider, they have to be indexed for performance reasons (which means that they cannot be real-time). We have implemented this approach a few times as a customization with some limitations, but it’s a tough cookie to crack if we want to build this into the standard product. We will continue our investigation on this topic.

  19. Improve Mailchimp add-on

    Currently the way the Mailchimp add-on is made doesn't enable a proper use of automation capabilities in Mailchimp.
    In order to use Mailchimp ecommerce automation, SANA should use the ecommerce API provided.
    That would enable any SANA website to automatically :
    - Notify best customers with rewards
    - Thank 1st time customers
    - Win back customers that are not coming back
    - Easily retarget abandoned carts
    Additionally, it should be able to handle several customer segments when syncing, so you have the same customer segments in SANA and in MailChimp.

  20. Click & Collect

    A shopping facility whereby a customer can buy or order goods from a store's website and collect them from a local branch.

    It would be great to be able to offer a click & collect option, so the user can select from a list which store to collect the item/s from. Obviously, stock at that location would need to be considered, so if the item is out of stock at the customer's specified location, click & collect cannot be used. Also, include the ability for the user to specify their 'local' store/location. For a good example of click and collect,…
