Creating productsets: New filter values not shown

Problem:
New values have been added to a field on the item card and you want to create a productset using the new value as a filter in the backoffice, but despite running the product index task the new values do not populate the autocomplete form during products set creation.

Applies to:
Sana Commerce 8.0 and 8.1

Cause:
This seems related to a bug in the query of the product index

Solution:
Work-a-round is to recycle the Backoffice Application pool in IIS.
