An error occured while communicating with Navision. Parameter request in method ProcessRequest in service SC_WebService is null!

Problem:

Connection to Microsoft Dynamics NAV cannot be established

Symptoms:

Startersite displays error page

Backoffice cannot retrieve data from Microsoft Dynamics NAV

Cause:

This specifice error message normally indicates that the ServiceName for the NAv2009 webservice is published incorrect

Solution:

Open object designer

Locate the 'Web Services' form (object ID: '810') and click 'Run'.

Make sure the is a record with the following data

  • Object type - Codeunit
  • Object ID - 11123303
  • Service Name - SC_NAV2009_WebService
  • Published - Yes
